INTRODUCTION
Welcome to DuplicateSweep (the "App"), a utility designed to help you find and remove duplicate files. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the App.
1. PURPOSE OF THE APP
DuplicateSweep is a tool designed to assist users in identifying potential duplicate files on their macOS devices. The App provides features to scan user-selected folders, compare file contents, and display these potential duplicates for review. It is intended solely as an aid for manual file management.
2. USER RESPONSIBILITY
You, the user, are solely and entirely responsible for the actions you take using the App.
No Automatic Deletion: The App does not automatically delete any files. All deletion actions must be explicitly initiated and confirmed by you.
Final Review: You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all files selected for deletion. The App provides previews and metadata to assist in your decision-making, but the final judgment rests with you.
Risk of Deletion: You acknowledge that deleting files is an irreversible action that may affect system functionality or personal data.
3. USE OF THE APP
You may use the App for personal and commercial purposes. You agree not to modify, reverse-engineer, rent, lease, loan, sell, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.
4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We undertake comprehensive testing to ensure the App is fit for purpose, but some bugs or errors in identifying files may remain.
No Liability for Data Loss: DuplicateSweep and its developers shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or disruption, including but not limited to data loss, file corruption, system failure, or business interruption, resulting from the use of the App or the deletion of any files, whether accidental or intentional.
No Guarantee of Accuracy: While the App uses advanced methods to identify duplicates, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy. You are responsible for verifying the files before deletion.
5. BACKUP RECOMMENDATION
We strongly advise you to perform a full and verified backup of your system and important files before using DuplicateSweep. The App does not include any features for recovering files that have been permanently deleted by emptying the App's internal trash.
6. MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT
We will use our best efforts to identify and rectify any issues with the App. However, we do not provide a Service Level Agreement (SLA) guaranteeing that fixes will be applied in a specified timeframe. We may update or modify the App at any time without notice.
7. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
