This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user information within the LinkSweep application (“the App”). Your privacy is important to us, and this policy is designed to be transparent about how the App operates.

LinkSweep is designed to work entirely on your local device.
Personal Information: The App does not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or location. We have no access to your identity.
Bookmark Data: To function, the App requires you to select and open your Bookmarks.plist file. All processing of your bookmarks, including reading, validating, and organizing, occurs exclusively on your computer. Your bookmark data is never sent to our servers or any third party.
URL Validation: The "Validate" feature sends an automated request to each bookmark's URL to check its status. This process does not send any personal information about you, but the destination server will see a request originating from your IP address, similar to how a web browser works.
Local Storage: The App stores settings, exceptions, and backups locally on your device using standard application support folders. This data is for your use only and is never transmitted to us.
3. CORRESPONDENCE
If you choose to contact us for support via email, your message will contain the information you provide, such as your name and email address. This information is used solely to communicate with you regarding your query.
4. COOKIES AND TRACKING
The App does not use cookies or any other tracking technologies.
5. INFORMATION DISCLOSURE
We do not collect your personal information or bookmark data, and therefore, we do not share it with any third parties. All your data remains under your control on your device.
